Teaching is Tough.

It’s time to reclaim the JOY IN TEACHING

Nobody decides on a career in education for selfish reasons. Those who choose this path care deeply and desire strongly to make a difference. However, it is no secret that teachers are overworked, underappreciated, stressed – many facing burnout. Research and trends paint a dismal picture of teacher satisfaction and retention.

We know that teachers’ stress impacts:

  • Our students’ education
  • Our schools’ ability to meet diverse needs
  • Our administrators’ need to retain good teachers
  • Our teachers’ sense of purpose & success

Resilience is key to a fulfilling teaching career.

Joy in teaching provides the tools and resources to turn things around for educators, to make teaching a desirable and joy-filled experience. Dr. Tiffany Carr offers resilience-building services for individuals, schools, and districts that focus on actionable tools to combat occupational stress and burnout within the field of education.

Reclaim the joy in teaching for yourself, your students, and your school.

MEET Dr. Tiffany Carr

Hey.

I’m Dr. Tiffany Carr and I founded Joy in Teaching as a direct response to the increasing demands and overwhelming roles of teachers. Throughout my years teaching in a wide variety of schools at all levels I witnessed far too many good, caring teachers become frustrated, stressed, and overwhelmed – some leaving the profession altogether. As a mom trying to balance my teaching-life with home-life, I too couldn’t deny that I was experiencing some of the same feelings and began to research all things resiliency. I created Joy in Teaching to serve as a beacon of light to teachers and administrators who seek to build resilience and support teacher retention. Joy in Teaching examines what a life in education means and offers actionable and inspirational resources to preempt teacher burnout and address the hard issues educators face each day.
